Car Rental Companies

There are several car rental companies in Kenya. They are available in Nairobi , Mombasa, Malindi and at any major town. You can drive yourself or take a driver with you for a little extra cost but from what i know car hire is relatively expensive, but that's just my opinion and am sure many people would beg to differ. Visitors to Kenya can drive using an international drivers license. Driving is on the left hand side and drivers should give way to traffic on their right.

Hired cars are widely available in Nairobi, Mombasa and other large towns. Before hiring a car, all legalities should be thoroughly checked and appropriate contracts and waivers signed. Most car hire companies charge a set per kilometre or unlimited rate.

When selecting a car hire company I am sure you would prefer one that has cars that are in good condition and will get you where you are going without any great difficulty occurring.

You should have a general idea in your mind about the amount you are willing to spend on rental fees. The cost differs from company to company; therefore, it is better to search before taking the final decision. If you are planning to travel to Kenya, upon reaching your destination you are advised to search various local car rental companies. It would be best to plan your program well in advance to avoid any last minute problems.

Site Build It! I highly recommend Budget-Kenya as one of the best rental companies in Kenya. They offer superb services, the prices are not too high and they also have a wide variety of cars that are in tip-top condition.

Getting around in Kenya, especially for out of the city roads is difficult. Though Kenya does have a lovely country side, the roads are often in a dilapidated state due to neglect. I would advice youto rent a heavy duty jeep to help you get around if you are traveling off-road or in bumpy areas. Budget car rental services is the world's third largest car rental company, with over 3,000 locations in more than 120 countries, and a worldwide fleet of 250,000 vehicles. Businessmen or corporate clients as well as the leisure travelers, can choose the right car to fit their needs. From small economy cars up to luxury vehicles, vans and 4X4 jeeps , are all available for rent to any length of time. Their enthusiastic counter staff turned Budget in Kenya to be a market leader.
